Royal Credit Union’s annual “Giving Never Melts Away” toy drive helps families in need

Royal Credit Union’s (Royal) 24 offices located in western Wisconsin and the Twin-Cities metro area worked together to bring in over 900 toys to benefit families in need this holiday season during its Annual “Giving Never Melts Away” toy drive.  In partnership with The Salvation Army, the credit union collected new and unwrapped toys from November 1 – November 30.  Following the collection of the donated items at Royal offices, The Salvation Army will distribute the toys to children of families in need within the communities Royal Credit Union serves.

Royal’s core purpose is “to create a positive impact in the lives we touch.” That ideology is demonstrated in the partnership the credit union has with The Salvation Army and all of the families that this campaign benefits. This time of the year is difficult for many families, and the toy drive was designed to help lessen the financial struggles that come with this season. The message of “Giving Never Melts Away” is shown through this campaign more every year, as Royal Members and team members continue to increase the amount of donated toys.

“I am grateful to work for a company that gives back as much as Royal does”, says Sarah Jaeger, Community Engagement Coordinator for Royal Credit Union, “Being able to see our Members and team members bringing in toys to help out the community is rewarding for us at Royal because making a difference in the lives around us is a vital part of who we are.”
