We are excited to share Rivermark Community Credit Union’s first ever Community Impact Report, showcasing how Rivermark partnered with its employees, members, and communities to help make this region a better place to live and work during 2018.
As a not-for-profit cooperative, Rivermark is dedicated to helping our community beyond providing world-class service and financial products tailored to fit our members’ needs. We care deeply about alleviating the effects of poverty in our community, from hunger to homelessness, and we strive to build a stronger community together. It’s the right thing to do!
This year offered us opportunities to increase our positive impact through strengthening our key fundraising initiatives like the 2nd Annual Rivermark Charity Golf Tournament, benefiting the Rivermark Community Fund, and the KGW Great Food Drive, both of which generated our most successful results yet! We collected more donations than ever hosting a popular Shred/RX turn-in event and our first Winter Warmth Drive for JOIN PDX.
We continue to promote local, small businesses and entrepreneurs through the Rivermark Community Fund and encouraging patronage through our annual Small Business Saturday initiative, which raised $25,000 for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. This year, the Rivermark Community Fund granted $20,000 to The Next Door, which supports economic development throughout the Columbia Gorge.
