NEFCU announces fourth quarter community giving donations for 2018

Four times each year, New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) selects four recipient organizations at random to receive $625 each, for a total of $10,000 annually. NEFCU’s community giving donations for the fourth quarter of 2018 were:

Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity (GMHH) Franklin/Grand Isle Chapter, to assist in the construction of two new homes in St. Albans. GMHH’s mission is to build simple, perpetually-affordable houses and sell them at cost, with no down-payment, to qualifying families.

Age Well, to support their Meals on Wheels program. Age Well are the leading experts and advocates for the aging population of Northwestern Vermont. The organization’s mission is to provide support and guidance that inspires the community to embrace aging with confidence.

Technology for Tomorrow, to help fund digital literacy classes for refugees, immigrants, and community members, and to help pay fees for their STEM academy classes. Technology for Tomorrow strives to provide affordable technology education and counseling through various local, state, and national collaboration projects and partnerships to help those in need.

Addison County Home Health & Hospice (ACHHH), to support the annual appeal to continue providing care of uninsured residents, upgrade technology resources, and provide educational opportunities for employees. Since 1968, ACHHH has enhanced the health, dignity, and independence of Addison County residents through comprehensive, patient-centered home health and hospice care.
