What: Camp Franklin. A financial education day camp focused on equipping kids (and their parents) in a fun, interactive format.
When: August 3, 2019, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Where: Landings Credit Union, 2800 S Mill Ave., Tempe, AZ 85282
Why: Recent legislation passed in Arizona requires that schools provide financial education to students. That priority falls right in line with Landings’ history and mission. The credit union was founded to serve, and continues to serve students, faculty, staff, and family for all schools in Maricopa County, along with many other employee groups. Part of the mission of credit unions is to help provide prudent financial education to members, to help teach good financial habits.
Who: Kids, ages pre-K through high school, and their parents
What else: This fun-filled Franklin Club event is for parents and kids. There will be activities for the kids to start the conversation of saving; with lots of helpful tips and information to help instill healthy saving and spending habits in their kids.
