Underscoring their long-standing commitment to the community, Electro Savings Credit Union has launched the first annual Power of Community grant program. The program is challenging individuals and groups in St. Louis to submit their project ideas, no matter the size, that will support local solutions to local community needs. Through an annual application process, the program will award grants up to $2,000 for eligible projects. Applications are being accepted through March 31, 2020.
"Giving back to the communities we serve is a cornerstone of the credit union’s culture," said Jim Struble, President & CEO of Electro Savings Credit Union. "Through the Power of Community program, we hope to enhance both the character and quality of life in the communities we serve."
Further, Laura Mugge, Community Engagement Manager at Electro, states that “there are many non-profit organizations and government agencies that provide services and large-scale funding toward fixing significant need gaps in St. Louis. However, there are few, if any, programs that afford an individual or small group of residents the opportunity to make an impact in their own neighborhood.”
