Alta Vista and BloomCU team up for sleek, simple credit union website design

Alta Vista Credit Union has a brand new look. Click through their website, and you’ll find a fast, clean experience that flows well on laptops and mobile phones. Accounts and services float up to meet the user without overwhelming them. The dynamic new site was built in partnership with BloomCU, an award-winning credit union website design agency.

 The new site, Altavistacu.org, features a simple layout without sacrificing the professionalism and top-notch design that credit unions need. When a site gets too busy, it’s generally not a mark of a tech-savvy credit union—but of a design without a clear direction. Alta Vista keeps things simple and focused on what their members are looking for.

 Ryan Harmon, Creative Director of BloomCU, said that working with Alta Vista was a great experience. “They have this beautiful blue color and a really professional, cursive logo. Using that as the base, we were able to build a site that really just gets out of its own way. By not overthinking any of the elements, I think the result is something cohesive, professional, and really nice to look at.”

 All credit unions want to help existing members and find new members. Existing members typically scroll a site to find online banking, get answers to questions, and browse new products. New visitors may be just looking around, often trying to see if the credit union is a good fit or if a certain loan or account catches their eye.

 Alta Vista wanted to build a site that better served both kinds of users. The new website highlights accounts and products without being too salesy for existing members, while providing plenty of information and context for potential members who are browsing. It’s speedy user interface and intuitive sitemap also go a long way to creating a feel that’s fresh, welcoming, and never overwhelming.
