America Saves proudly announces New Horizons Credit Union, for the fourth year in a row, has earned the Designation of Savings Excellence award from a selection process involving both banks and credit unions across the nation that participated in this year’s America Saves Week.
The America Saves’ Designation of Savings Excellence is awarded to financial institutions that display exceptional achievement by motivating individuals to become more financially stable. New Horizons Credit Union is one such financial institution that went above and beyond with Direct Deposit, New Start Checking, GreenPath Financial Wellness, and Horizons Heroes Accounts.
Their efforts to encourage members to save money and establish an automatic savings plan during America Saves Week deserves recognition, particularly as the pandemic continued through 2021. The Dir. of America Saves, George Barany, commented that America Saves is proud to recognize these achievements.

America Saves Week is an annual event that inspires Americans to make a simple savings action plan that starts or increases their savings. The event is coordinated by America Saves, with input and support from over 35 organizations that include federal government agencies such as the FDIC, FEMA, and the Department of Labor, as well as nonprofits and Cooperative Extension educators.
