State Employees Credit Union announces new president/chief executive officer

State Employees Credit Union, headquartered in Santa Fe, New Mexico, announced Andy Ramos as their new President/CEO as Harold Dixon will be retiring after 24 years of service. “I am excited to have Andy take the State Employees Credit Union to the next level and I know that he is the right leader for this organization and community,” said Dixon.

“Andy’s extensive experience in the financial services industry and his commitment to member service throughout his career made him stand out in our nationwide search. We are excited for him to join our organization and lead our credit union in a future of continued growth,” said Board Chairperson Jerry Rael.

Ramos has a long history in the credit union industry. He comes to SECU from Redwood Credit Union of Santa Rosa, California where he was most recently Senior Vice President/Member Engagement. In this role, Ramos led the operations of the call center, a branch network of 22 locations, and business development, focusing on member service and efficiency. He also held positions of Senior Vice President/Member Experience, Senior Vice President/Member Service, and Assistant Vice President/Regional Manager Sales and Service at Redwood. In addition to his time at Redwood, Ramos held the position of Executive Vice President/Chief Retail Officer at Key Point Credit Union. Ramos holds a Master’s degree in Business/Organizational Leadership from Chapman University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and a bachelor’s degree from California State University Monterey Bay.

“I really enjoyed getting to know the Board at SECU during the search process and am confident that joining SECU is going to be a great experience. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone at the organization and seeing where we can go in the future,” said Ramos.
