Point Breeze Credit Union will hold its annual “The Harvest” Golf Tournament to benefit the Maryland Food Bank on September 20, 2021, at Hayfields Country Club in Hunt Valley beginning at 11:30AM.
“The Harvest” Golf Tournament offers an afternoon of premier golf, lively competition, and the opportunity to give back to fellow Marylanders in need. For a registration fee of $225 per golfer or $800 per foursome, attendees can enjoy a complementary lunch and dinner, prizes for top golfers, raffles, and a round of golf on one of the region’s most prestigious championship golf courses.
The Maryland Food Bank has served as a key community resource through the COVID-19 pandemic, having distributed enough food to provide nearly 63 million meals statewide between March 2020 and May 2021. Maryland Food Bank supports more than 350 Network Partners statewide that collectively provide nearly 1,450 distribution points with much-needed food for their local communities.
Since its inaugural year in 2018, “The Harvest” tournament has raised over $45,000 for the Maryland Food Bank with the support of participating golfers and community sponsors. Although the tournament was paused in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Point Breeze Credit Union donated $25,000 to the Maryland Food Bank in lieu of the event. The combination of these donations has allowed the Maryland Food Bank to provide approximately 210,000 meals to individuals and families struggling to find their next meal.
