On Wednesday, August 18th, 2021, Central Credit Union of Florida will be hosting their free-to-the-public document shredding event at their Spring Street branch located at 308 N Spring St, Pensacola, Florida as well as their Panama City branch location at 2615 FL- 77, Panama City, Florida. There is no charge for this event and both members and nonmembers alike are invited to participate.
This event offers people the opportunity to bring their personal documents or any other printed materials they wish to discard in a safe and secure way for free. Each car is limited to 75 pounds which equates to approximately 3 bags or boxes of paper documents. Bags and boxes are not to be tied or taped closed.
This is the third quarterly event offered by the credit union this year. “We are thrilled to be able to host these quarterly shred-a-thons. At Central, we are always working to protect our members’ identity,” states Todd Cunningham, Marketing Manager. “These events allow the members to have their personal documents shredded safely rather than discarding it in the garbage or recycling bin. In addition to these shred-a-thons, we provide regular articles and other educational opportunities on how one can protect themselves from identity theft or fraud.”
