Royal Credit Union will host shred events at several Royal offices during the month of October. Shred events are an opportunity for Members and the general public to properly dispose of their personal documents and files for free. Royal is partnering with ShredAway, a document management and destruction company that will safely dispose of documents. These events will be a combination of drive-up events in Royal parking lots and in lobby drop-off events. A limit of two brown paper grocery bags or one file-sized box will be enforced at all events to ensure everyone has a chance to shred their most critical documents. It is recommended to bring documents that contain confidential information such as social security numbers, financial account numbers, or other secure information. Acceptable items to shred include personal records, bills, receipts, books, bound paper, file folders, CDs, and floppy media.
If you have confidential paperwork that you’ve been meaning to properly dispose of, let Royal make it easy for you. Take advantage of this opportunity to help protect yourself against identity theft. Royal will hold additional shred events in the fall.
