TBA Credit Union donates $14,000 to Traverse City Area Public Schools

This fall, TBA Credit Union’s CEO, Karen Browne presented a check for $14,000 to Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) Superintendent Dr. John VanWagoner.

The $14,000 donation will be divided between different programs. A portion of the donation will help benefit the 2022-23 TCAPS Learning, Enrichment, and Athletics Program (LEAP) and will purchase dry-erase markers for every elementary student and teacher in the district. The remaining funds will sponsor the new digital scoreboard at Thirlby Field.

“TBA Credit Union was founded by Traverse City educators back in 1955,” said Karen Browne, TBA Credit Union’s President and CEO. “It is a great privilege to be able to support many different programs throughout the TCAPS district, along with providing essential classroom tools.”

A $300 million (assets) credit union, TBA Credit Union, provides financial services to over 18,000 members across the State of Michigan. In addition to two branches and a call center located in Traverse City, TBA Credit Union members have access to over 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide through the CO-OP Network and over 250 Xtend Shared Branching locations.
