Program designed to win the hearts and minds of families continues to grow

With the addition of InTouch Credit Union, Snigglezoo, the company that offers financial wellness programs for parents and children from birth to young adulthood with The Art of Allowance Project, continues to increase its credit union footprint.

Snigglezoo launched its new Art of Allowance Project for credit unions nationwide, featuring its already well-known Money Mammals youth program while adding the Adolescent$ program for tweens and teens and a component to empower parents.

“If you want to be an intergenerational credit union, it starts with the parents,” says John Lanza, Snigglezoo founder and Chief Mammal. “I’ve yet to run into a parent who doesn’t want to raise a money-smart kid,” quips Lanza. “This is a huge opportunity for credit unions, especially if they want to be there when young adults are ready to get their first debit card, checking account, car loan, or even home loan.”

“We want to be an intergenerational credit union,” says Tim McCoy, SVP of Marketing and eCommerce at InTouch Credit Union. “We want to serve the children and grandchildren of our members. We plan to be around far into the future. We are building a foundation of longevity. That means engaging with parents. It means engaging with children when they are very young and staying engaged throughout every stage of their lives.”

The Art of Allowance Project’s offerings help encourage such multigenerational loyalty. Young children get excited about money-smart learning with the help of the Money Mammals and their suite of books, games, videos, and more. Tweens and teens discover good money habits thanks to the Adolescent$ program’s engaging articles, shareable graphics, and video shorts. And parents are supported along their family’s money-empowerment journey with tools like books and workshops and content ranging from short essays to podcast episodes. This bevy of resources helps secure a credit union’s spot in the family.
