Hopewell Federal Credit Union presented the winner of its annual $1000 Service Scholarship on June 6th at its Heath, Ohio location. This distinguished honor was awarded to, Aubrey Barger. Barger, a recent graduate of Licking Valley High School, will depart in the fall to attend The Ohio State University
Barger has excelled academically while also being involved in many organizations. Barger is a member of the Licking Valley High School Band, National Honors Society, and 4-H Club, to name a few. Below are some of Barger’s stand out accolades.
- She is active – Band Leadership Team, LVHS Musical, Teen Leadership Counsel.
- She is community focused – She volunteers her time with many organizations within her roles in the 4-H Program.
- She is intelligent – A member of National Honor Society, Quiz Team, and Tri-M Music Honors Society.
Applicants were asked to reflect with a video submission on the following:
Consider the past, present, and future of financial education and reflect on what could be done better. Reflect on why financial literacy is so important for our youth. Share what elements to financial education you hope to see in the coming years.
