“Protecting sensitive information is more important than ever and this event offers a convenient solution for our members and community to do just that. As advocates for both data security and environmental responsibility, we hope this helps empower our community to securely dispose of sensitive documents while contributing to a greener environment,” said Obi Ndukwe, Chief Experience and Impact Office for Securityplus Federal Credit Union.
In addition to hosting this event, Securityplus and their corporate event sponsors will be making a monetary donation to the Center for Urban Families, a Baltimore non-profit that works to empower individuals and families with the skills they need for long-term personal and economic success. “With community impact being at the core of everything we do, we’re thrilled to be able to give back in a bigger way. We recognize our corporate partners, including Allied Solutions and Deluxe, for their support in making this event possible,” added Ndukwe.
Individuals may dispose of up to three bags or boxes of paper, magazines, newspapers, brochures, file folders, and photos. Items that will not be accepted include cardboard, telephone books or books, plastics (including bags, CD’s/DVD’s, ID cards), hardware such as computer and printer parts, batteries or biohazardous waste.
