Humanize your credit union member journey with videos

“Show. Don’t tell.”

It’s probably one of the biggest lessons I learned about filmmaking while in college.

So instead of just telling you about how you can humanize your member journey with relevant videos, I figured why not just show you how we at CU Grow are doing this.

When people sign up for updates from CU Grow, they are taken to a form completion page with the following video embedded.

See what we did? We did not use a stale message stating, “Thanks for signing up for our updates” via text. Instead, we produced a simple video greeting them while also allowing us to introduce the team.

There is no agenda. We’re not trying to sell you stuff. That’s not the purpose of the video because the goal is clear: welcome people with a human message that’s relevant for that appropriate action.

The inspiration for this video came from a business that I follow with great interest. They know who their audience is... online video producers. And because of that, they create compelling content for people like me.
