A federal lawsuit filed Monday by the $602 million, Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based Alabama One Credit Union points to a complex web of conspiracy that’s being led by David Byrne, Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley’s chief legal advisor, with the intention of exploiting the credit union for monetary and political gain.

That’s the belief held by John Dee Carruth, president/CEO for Alabama One, who spoke with CU Times by phone Tuesday.
