Applications for CU Advisory Council open through April 23

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is seeking applicants for its Credit Union Advisory Council (CUAC), which advises the bureau on the credit union industry. The link to the application is open.

Selections are expected to be announced in September. Members of the CUAC serve two-year terms, though that may be adjusted at the CPPB director sees fit.

CUNA strongly supports the existence of the CUAC, and has supported legislation that would codify the council, and has made retaining the council part of its 2018 advocacy agenda.
