Mark Wolff is senior vice president of communications for the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). As such, he is responsible for the public relations and public affairs functions of CUNA, including media relations, corporate communications, and image building. ...
Communications produces News Now, CUNA’s daily online news service; NewsWatch, CUNA’s member newsletter; Home and Family Finance Radio, a one-hour weekly personal finance show; and coordinates program planning and marketing for CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference.
Wolff joined CUNA in 1991 as director of communications. He was promoted to vice president of public affairs in 1994, and achieved his current position in 1998.
Prior to CUNA, he worked in the communications department of the Resolution Trust Corporation, the federal agency created to clean up the savings and loan industry. Before that, he worked in the public affairs office of the National Credit Union Administration and as a reporter for several independent newsletters covering the credit union movement.
Wolff serves as CUNA’s representative on the board of directors for the National Cooperative Business Association, the leading U.S. organization strengthening the cooperative form of business to empower people and improve the quality of life worldwide. He is also CUNA’s primary staff liaison to the Consumer Federation of America.
He is a 1981 graduate of George Washington University and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He is also a Credit Union Development Educator.
