NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger, appearing Thursday on Fox Business Network’s Countdown to the Closing Bell with guest host Ashley Webster, talked about the association’s recent meeting with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, tax reform and the importance of achieving regulatory relief for credit unions.

Berger told Webster in the live television interview that he is “encouraged” by NAFCU’s meeting with Mnuchin and that the discussion was “extremely productive.”

Webster also asked Berger about the importance of regulatory relief for credit unions. “Since Dodd-Frank passed in 2010, we’ve lost 1,500 credit unions,” Berger said, adding it’s time for some regulatory rollback.
