The Community Development Financial Institutions Fund is offering numerous training resources to CDFIs, including credit unions, that lend to small businesses via a new Resource Bank as part of its Capacity Building Initiative.

The “Innovations in Small Business Lending” Resource Bank provides CDFIs with resources to help “business-oriented CDFI lenders establish and enhance services that are vital to the needs of small and medium enterprises,” the CDFI Fund says. These resources include training materials, expert documents, archived webinars and links to relevant outside information.Administered by Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP, the Resource Bank will be updated as more materials become available.

The Capacity Building Initiative is aimed at expanding the technical assistance and training opportunities for CDFIs. Other Resource Banks through the initiative include the Foreclosure Solutions Resource Bank and the Financing Healthy Food Options Resource Bank.
