Chairman Hensarling names committee leadership, new subcommittee

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas, announced the committee’s Republican leadership team for the 115th Congress and the creation of a new subcommittee that will investigate the financial support networks of terrorist and other national security threats.
The full committee leadership team includes Vice Chairman Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., and Republican Whip French Hill, R-Ark. Subcommittee leaders are as follows:
- Capital Markets Subcommittee Chairman Bill Huizenga, R-Mich., with Vice Chairman Randy Hultgren, R-Ill.;
- Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee Chairman Blaine Luetkemeyer, R-Mo., with Vice Chairman Keith Rothfus, R-Penn.;
- Housing and Insurance Subcommittee Chairman Sean Duffy, R-Wis., with Vice Chairman Dennis Ross, R-Fla.;
- Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee Chairman Andy Barr, R-Ky., with Vice Chairman Roger Williams, R-Texas;
- Terrorism and Illicit Finance Subcommittee Chairman Steve Pearce, R-N.M., with Vice Chairman Robert Pittenger, R-N.C.; and
- Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Chairman Ann Wagner, R-Mo., with Vice Chairman Scott Tipton, R-Colo.
