Established in 1969, BALANCE is a national non-profit headquartered in Concord, California committed to supporting and empowering individuals and families facing financial hardship. We serve as our community’s trusted financial guide, helping balance challenges and important financial decisions at every stage of life. BALANCE advances practices that increase upward mobility and intergenerational wealth transfer, particularly among low-income, marginalized communities whose intersecting identities often make it even more difficult to break the cycle of poverty. Our programs include housing services, financial coaching, credit report review, debt solutions and student loan counseling and community outreach and education through financial education workshops and webinars. BALANCE is a HUD- certified housing counseling organization.
