The Healthcare Credit Union Association is a professional association of credit unions serving healthcare employees and their families. The association originally began in concept in 2005, led by co-founders Maury Pilver, retired CEO of Healthcare's Cooperative Credit Union in Florida, and John Saatela, then CEO of CarePoint Credit Union in California.

To promote the growth, viability and unity of healthcare credit unions;
To create and maintain a sharing and cooperative spirit among credit unions serving the healthcare industry;
To facilitate opportunities for partnership and collaboration among our membership
To organize at least one annual educational conference
