River Community Credit Union
River Community Credit Union has been serving its members since February 29, 1928. In the beginning, eleven men started the credit union with C J Morrow as its Founder. The credit union was open only to the U.S. Postal Service workers and known as the Ottumwa Postal Employees Credit Union, but because of sound management and excellent service, other small companies and businesses joined in. Due to the ever-increasing satisfied members, Ottumwa Postal Employees Credit Union opened to the surrounding communities and changed its name to River Community Credit Union in the year 2000. In the year 2002, River Community Credit Union was very pleased to welcome the merger of the Ottumwa Railroad Employees Credit Union. In 2023, they welcomed a merger with Muni Employees Credit Union.
