The Bronx Financial Access Coalition

The Bronx Financial Access Coalition seeks to increase access to quality affordable and convenient financial services in the Bronx. Formed between 2020 and 2022 in response to a spate of bank branch closings in the Bronx, the Coalition has partnered with the Lower East Side People’s Federal Credit Union to launch the Bronx People’s Federal Credit Union through a mobile branch and a new brick and mortar branch. The Bronx Financial Access Coalition includes Banana Kelly Community Improvement Association, University Neighborhood Housing Program, We Stay / Nos Quedamos, and WHEDco.
