CUNA Board election results announced

Results have been announced for the two contested elections for the CUNA Board of Directors.

Maria J. Martinez, president/CEO of Border FCU, Del Rio, Texas, has been elected as the District 5, Class A representative.  District 5 includes Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.  Class A includes credit unions having less than 38,000 natural-person members.

There were two open seats for Class C, elected nationally at-large.  Elected were  Lisa Ginter, CEO, CommunityAmerica CU in Lenexa, Kan., and Brett Martinez, president/CEO of Redwood CU in Santa Rosa, California.

These directors will join three others who were elected by acclamation on December 8:  Tom Kane, president of the Illinois CU League, Naperville, Ill. and Fred Robinson, president/CEO, Tennessee CU League, Chattanooga, Tenn., each elected nationally at-large to Class D (League President) positions and Patrick Pierce, president/CEO, City & County CU, St. Paul, Minn., elected as the District 4, Class B representative.  District 4 includes Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri and Wisconsin; Class B includes credit unions having at least 38,000 but not more than 141,000 natural-person members.
