The House and Senate are in Washington, D.C. this week, and CUNA is engaged in several hearings in both chambers.

In addition, CUNA is looking ahead to 2 Senate Banking Committee hearings scheduled for next week, one on Wells Fargo, one on Equifax.

This week’s hearings include:

• Tuesday, 10 a.m. (ET): Senate Banking Committee hearing titled “Oversight of the U.S. Securities and Exchanges Commission;”
• Tuesday 10 a.m. (ET): House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform hearing titled “Recommendations of the Commission on Evidence-Based Policymaking.” The hearing will examine the commission’s recommendation and how Congress can facilitate the creation of evidence-based policies, among other things;
