#CUNAGAC: A new way of experiencing premier conference

When the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) kicks off Sunday, be prepared for a new way of experiencing the premier conference through CUNA media.
Daily videos and a more-intense social media presence will keep attendees and those back at the credit union updated on everything from keynote speakers to breakout sessions. The extensive coverage will be featured in special report emails and on news.cuna.org, and News Now will focus on CUNA GAC coverage through Thursday.
All of this will capture the excitement of nearly 5,000 attendees who will be at the Washington Convention Center to hear keynote speakers such as legendary broadcast journalist Ted Koppel, futurist Lisa Bodell and a political point/counterpoint with Paul Begala and Mike Murphy. Key legislators, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray and all of the board members of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) also will take the CUNA GAC stage.
Among the many breakout sessions topics are the NCUA’s field-of-membership proposal, compliance challenges and the results of CUNA’s study on the cost of regulatory burden. (See related story in today’s News Now: Website highlights CUNA’s groundbreaking reg. burden study)
