House, Senate committees set pandemic hearings this week
CUNA will be engaged with House and Senate committee hearings this week on the federal government’s response to the pandemic.
The Senate Banking Committee will conduct a hearing, “The Quarterly CARES Act Report to Congress” Tuesday, 10 a.m. (ET). Witnesses will be Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Federal Reserve Board Chairman Jerome Powell.
The House Financial Services Committee will conduct a hearing, “Oversight of the Treasury Department’s and Federal Reserve’s Pandemic Response,” Wednesday at 10 a.m. (ET). Mnuchin and Powell are expected to testify, and the committee will discuss two pieces of legislation.
