We are more than a week removed from the Hurricane Sandy disaster, a storm that has claimed over 100 lives so far and has destroyed the lives of thousands. Many folks and organizations are doing their part to help rebuild neighborhoods, communities, and businesses -- and credit unions are at the forefront of these efforts. We invitedNational Credit Union Foundation'sChristopher Morris on the program to provide us with a summary of what credit unions are doing in the wake of this terrible storm. Chris also brings to lightCUAid.coop, the primary conduit of donations leading to the Hurricane Sandy Relief efforts. To date,CUAid.coophas collected in excess of $135,000 in donations heading straight for the credit unions and their members affected in the areas hit.
