Opening comments on call reports ‘good 1st step’ by NCUA
As mentioned by NCUA Chair Rick Metsger at the agency’s last meeting, a request for information on modernizing data collection has been published in the Federal Register. Comments are due Aug. 1.
“Opening up comments on modernizing call reports is a good first step toward the agency’s stated goal of modernizing its examination and supervision process,” said Elizabeth Eurgubian, CUNA’s deputy chief advocacy officer. “We urge credit unions to submit their comments on data collection, as CUNA will be, and we look forward to working with the NCUA throughout the process.”
Specifically, the NCUA is seeking input in the following areas:
