KEMBA Credit Union’s Jennifer Horton receives Emerging Leadership Award

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (October 19, 2018) — Jennifer Horton of KEMBA Credit Union (CU) in Indianapolis is a recipient of the 2018 Emerging Leadership Award from the Indiana Credit Union League.

Horton has been with KEMBA CU for the past 10 years. Prior to then, she worked in positions with other credit union organizations, and she has always been in a role of member service. At KEMBA CU she has been an important member of the management team, training, mentoring and coaching many employees over the years to be member champions. While guiding the professional development of her colleagues has been a focus, she has also spent time one-one-one with credit union members helping them with budgeting, saving, credit repair and other guidance that has proven to be life-changing for them.

The Emerging Leadership Award was developed in order to recognize the next generation of credit union leaders in Indiana for their accomplishments and for their potential to be an Indiana credit union leader in the future. Horton was honored October 12, during the Chairman’s Awards Banquet, a special event during the Indiana Credit Union League’s annual convention.
