2012 NACHA Operating Rules & Guidelines – Corporate Edition Now Available as eBook
eBook Available for Nook and Apple Devices
HERNDON, Va., April 18, 2012 – NACHA — The Electronic Payments Association announced today that it has released eBook versions of its 2012 NACHA Operating Rules & Guidelines – Corporate Edition for the Apple iPad and Barnes & Noble Nook® eReaders. The eBooks are available for purchase through the Apple and Barnes & Noble online stores. The eBook versions of the NACHA Operating Rules & Guidelines – Corporate Edition complement the existing print, CD-ROM and ACH Rules Online offerings, which are available for purchase through NACHA and its Regional Payments Associations.
“We are pleased to be able to leverage technology in new ways to provide ACH Network participants with convenience in accessing the Rules that guide the use of Direct Deposit via ACH and Direct Payment via ACH,” said Janet O. Estep, president and CEO of NACHA. “The eBook versions are ideal for business professionals who travel and prefer to keep the hardcopy version of the Rulebook in their office, but want access to the Rules immediately and from anywhere with the touch of a finger.”
The eBook version of the 2012 NACHA Operating Rules & Guidelines – Corporate Edition contains the NACHA Operating Rules in full. The NACHA Operating Rules, which govern the ACH Network, are a set of fair and equitable rules that guide risk management and create payment certainty for all participants. In addition to containing the Rules in full, the 2012 NACHA Operating Rules & Guidelines – Corporate Edition includes sections of the Guidelines that are most applicable to businesses and processors that originate and receive ACH payments. It also contains details on the legal framework of the Rules, Third-Party Service Providers, OFAC compliance, and a brief history of the development of the ACH Network.
Each eBook purchase will come with premium-level access to the 2012 ACH Rules Online – Corporate Edition. The ACH Rules Online site is fully searchable by phrase and keyword, with additional “go to page” functionality. Premium users have unlimited ability to bookmark and save searches. Purchasers of the eBook must provide NACHA with proof of purchase to gain access to ACH Rules Online.
