2019 CUNA Supervisory Committee & Internal Audit Conference set for December in Las Vegas

WASHINGTON, DC (May 15, 2019) — Registration is now open for CUNA Supervisory Committee & Internal Audit Conference, taking place December 8-11, 2019 in Las Vegas. Participants will learn about the current regulatory environment and how to strengthen their operational oversight to protect their credit union from risk.

“This is the session to attend if you are a board member or a member of the supervisory committee,” said Alonia Sharps, chair, Educational Systems Federal Credit Union.  “The sessions give you the basics as well as allowing for an expansion of information that you already have in your tool kit.”

CUNA Supervisory Committee & Internal Audit Conference provides the training to ensure optimal credit union performance through oversight best practices. Attendees will have the chance to earn their Certified Credit Union Supervisory Committee Member (CCUSC) designation and be recognized as an effective supervisory committee member with the Supervisory Committee Member Award.

“Performing effective oversight is more complex than ever within today’s heightened regulatory environment,” said Kristin Ryan, director of learning events at CUNA. “Those in charge of operational duties need training to help them understand regulations and risks facing their credit union.”
