The second annual 4Front Foundation grant cycle saw nearly $900,000 in grant applications from Michigan nonprofits. Out of the more than 70 applications, Child & Family Services of Northwestern Michigan, Kids Hope USA, All County Search and Rescue (ACSAR), Challenge Mountain of Walloon Hills, Inc., Family Promise of Tuscola County, Kalkaska County Commission on Aging, and Women’s Resource Center for the Grand Traverse Area, came out on top as the 2023 grant recipients.
“The 4Front Foundation is making a profound impact on the lives of abuse survivors in Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau counties,” said Heather Patterson, Grant Administrator with the Women’s Resource Center for the Grand Traverse Area. “The 4Front Foundation's support removes financial barriers, becoming a crucial ally in the journey toward justice and healing for abuse survivors. Kalkaska County Commission on Aging provides services and opportunities for older adults so that they can maintain a quality independent lifestyle.
Family Promise of Tuscola County strives to end homelessness among families with children by empowering them to achieve independent and lasting stabilization through the community.
Challenge Mountain of Walloon Hills helps to empower people living with disabilities by providing year round adaptive recreational opportunities such as skiing, biking, sailing, equine therapy, and much more.
ACSAR assists local law enforcement by helping to locate missing persons, alive or deceased, in urban and wilderness settings.
Kids Hope USA has helped to provide mentor relationships to hundreds of students in the state since 1995.
Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan provides foster care and adoption services to thousands of northwestern Michigan children and families, as well as youth crisis counseling, youth services, and a job skills program.
