3rd Annual DATCU Dash to Benefit United Way

DENTON, TX – The third annual DATCU Dash 5K Run/Walk, benefiting United Way of Denton County, will take place on Saturday, May 19, in Denton’s South Lake Park.  The Run/Walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. ending with the award ceremony at 9:15 a.m.  All proceeds will benefit United Way.

5K race participants will run/ walk a 3.65-mile course.  There will be thirteen different age brackets ranging in age from children up to 99 years.  Prizes and metals will be awarded to the overall top male/female finishers in the run.  Time will be recorded using CHRONOTRACK disposable timing chips.

DATCU President/ CEO Dale Kimble stated “In a time of economic challenges for so many, it is important to DATCU to help raise both awareness and moreover much needed funds for the United Way of Denton County because of the positive difference they make in the lives of so many within our community.”

Registrations can made be made on-line at www.runontexas.com or by dropping by any one of DATCU’s nine convenient locations.  Early registration ends May 13th, so participants are encouraged register immediately to guarantee t-shirt size.   Interested parties may also go to www.datcudash.org to register.
