Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) is proud to announce that the 7 Rivers Region Chapter of Credit Unions will be honored with the prestigious Miracle Achievement Award, in recognition of their outstanding support and dedication for 40 years. The 7 Rivers Region Chapter of Credit Unions will be presented with the award at the 2026 Miracle Gala on Friday, April 10, at the La Crosse Center’s Riverside Ballroom. Past honorees recognized for their commitment and contributions to CMN include Mid-West Family La Crosse, Ace Hardware, WXOW, REMAX Results and Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations.
Credit unions are known for their strong culture of giving, rooted in their “people helping people” philosophy. Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids) builds on that foundation by uniting credit union fundraising efforts in support of Children’s Miracle Network. Since 1986, CU4Kids has played an integral role in amplifying the mission of CMN, raising awareness and generating critical funds to benefit local children and families.
The 7 Rivers Region Chapter of Credit Unions is a collective of 14 local credit unions, including 1st Community, Altra, Arcadia, Co-op, Dairyland Power, Firefighters, Governmental Employees, Gundersen, Marine, Oakdale, Royal, Tomah Area, Verve and Westby Co-op. As individual credit unions, they support CMN by participating in month-long fundraising campaigns involving silent auctions, bake sales, chickenques, wearing CMN attire, engaging the community to donate and so much more!
Almost all local credit unions choose to sell World’s Finest Chocolate candy bars year-round to support CMN. As a chapter, the 7 Rivers Region Chapter of Credit Unions continues the tradition of the Miracle Open Golf Classic, with the 40th annual event coming this summer. The Miracle Open is run by a committee of dedicated credit union staff who work tirelessly to bring this event to life through golfing, hole games and a robust raffle that raises thousands of dollars each year for Children’s Miracle Network.
Their unwavering commitment to CMN has helped raise more than $1.1 million over the past 40 years, ensuring that young patients receive the life-changing care they need. With their passion, the 7 Rivers Region Chapter of Credit Unions has continuously emphasized the importance of supporting CMN, not just during dedicated fundraising months, but year-round. Many credit union staff are impacted by the works of CMN on a personal level, many who have received assistance or know of a family member or friend who have received support. This brings the impact to light of how their fundraising is full-circle.
