ABNB Federal Credit Union employees raise $4,520 for NAFCU/PAC and CHKD
CHESAPEAKE, VA (April 4, 2017) — ABNB leadership presented a check at the recent Governmental Affairs Conference to National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) CEO, Dan Berger, in the amount of $2,260 for the NAFCU/Political Action Committee (PAC) on behalf of 2016 ABNB employee contribution efforts. The funds were raised through voluntary staff payroll deductions in 2016. As a part of the I LOVE MY MATCH Payroll Deduction program, this amount was complimented dollar-for-dollar as a $2,260 donation to ABNB’s charity of choice, Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters.
The I LOVE MY MATCH program allows ABNB to support its federal legislators and its annual Fishing Fest beneficiary, CHKD, in a single effort. I LOVE MY MATCH is designed by NAFCU/PAC for individuals that support the cause to “double their impact.” Every dollar contributed (up to the federal limit of $5,000 a year) is used towards political action and advocacy to educate Congress on obstacles affecting credit unions and to pass legislation that helps credit unions better serve their members.
ABNB is on track to double its 2016 employee NAFCU/PAC contribution amount for their upcoming 2017 contribution and hosts an annual fundraiser goal of $90,000 for CHKD.
