Acclaimed speaker Fred Schafer to headline CUANY’s Economic Forum

Columnist and author Gene Marks, economist Dr. Nick Perna also on agenda

ALBANY, NY (August 4, 2014) -- An impressive lineup of diverse speakers will take the stage at the Credit Union Association of New York’s 2014 Economic Forum, which will be held Oct. 7-8 in Albany, New York. Among the presenters is the nationally recognized speaker, author and wellness coach Fred Schafer.

For 37 years, Schafer has studied high performance success and applied his studies to create a professional development program that enhances the lives of busy, high-achieving individuals. During his presentation, Schafer will encourage and inspire attendees to upgrade their professional and personal goals, live stronger and dream bigger.

In addition to Shafer, featured speakers Gene Marks and Dr. Nick Perna will also address the group.

Marks is a well-known consultant, author, columnist and blogger, who regularly contributes to The New York Times, Forbes, The Huffington Post, Philadelphia Magazine, Inc. Magazine and Fox Business. Marks has written five books on business management that are geared towards small and midsized companies, and he frequently appears on nationally syndicated television and radio shows.

Perna, who has been cited as a top economic forecaster by the Wall Street Journal and Business Week, specializes in economic analysis, forecasting and strategy. The current resident economist at Alloya Corporate FCU has also served as an economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, General Electric and a number of major banking institutions.
