ACUMA approves slate of officers

NATIONAL HARBOR, MD (October 4, 2023) — The American Credit Union Mortgage Association approved its slate of officers for the next two years with the appointment of Amy Moser, Senior Vice President, Mortgage and Consumer Lending at Mountain America Credit Union as Chair of the Board. The appointment took place at ACUMA’s Annual Business Meeting on Monday, Oct. 2, held in conjunction with the association’s 27th Annual Conference at the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor.

“I am honored to work with the talented professionals at ACUMA and help deliver on our mission of being the premier source of high-quality education and networking for the mortgage banking lending and credit union communities,” says Moser. “Buying a home is more challenging than ever and the continued commitment of ACUMA and its members to proactively and positively promote credit union mortgage lending will help us make great strides in member service for years to come.”

The ACUMA Board of Directors also includes Past Chair Barry Stricklin, Tower Federal Credit Union; Alissa Sykes Tulloch, Vice Chair, AmeriCU; Jason Sasena, Treasurer, Global Credit Union; Bernie Chavira, Secretary, Desert Financial Credit Union; Mark Wilburn, Former Board Chair, Truity Credit Union; Pam Davis, Former Board Chair, Delta Community Credit Union; Julie Bowering, Board Director, Elements Financial Credit Union; and Vince Salinas, Board Director, Patelco Credit Union.

ACUMA President Peter Benjamin, CMB, supported Moser’s viewpoint. “We have an amazing leadership team in place to help take ACUMA to the next level,” Benjamin says. “Joining the organization more than a year and a half ago, it has been my vision and commitment to provide exceptional opportunities for credit union mortgage lenders to effectively lead their organizations. I am certain this will be the group to help us achieve our goal.”
