To empower the community in times of uncertainty, Addition Financial has launched Season 2 of the Making It Count podcast.
Making It Count, which premiered its first season in February 2020, offers practical advice on financial topics throughout each life stage. Local experts share their insights on a variety of subjects, from purchasing a home for the first time to preparing for retirement. Throughout the pandemic, the podcast has explored other timely issues, from handling investments during a bear market to making the most of your Paycheck Protection Program loan.
In each episode, hosts Cristina Lehman and Will Everett interview experts to provide insider tricks to help listeners accomplish their financial goals. Lehman and Everett, who are each at different points in their respective financial journeys, share their own perspectives and goals as well.
“What Will and I envisioned when developing this podcast is that we wanted to take financial topics that can seem so overwhelming and make them easier to understand in a relatable and conversational way,” said Lehman. “I love that our experts really put the information in a way that we can all relate to. We want our listeners to laugh and enjoy the podcast while learning at the same time. And Will and I have so much fun doing it!”
Season 2 premiered on November 5, with a focus on financially preparing for the holidays. Heidi Pauley, certified credit counselor and financial coach at Addition Financial, and Rod Griffin, senior director of consumer education and advocacy at Experian, share their tips to avoid overspending in the holiday season and using credit responsibly.
This season will also explore topics such as playing the credit card points game, wedding planning within a budget, determining financial compatibility in a relationship, how to teach your children about finances and more.
