Addition Financial has awarded four lucky teachers with their dream classroom renovations.
Through their fourth annual Renovate to Educate Contest, Addition Financial selected one public school teacher from Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola counties to receive a free classroom makeover, providing renovations of roughly $3,500 per classroom.
The program invited teachers to apply for classroom renovations by submitting an essay about their visions for a dream classroom. Winners were selected from Academic Center for Excellence in Orlando, Markham Woods Middle School in Lake Mary, Neptune Middle School in Kissimmee and Umatilla High School in Umatilla.
“At the end of the day, this is really a prize for the kids. This is something they will experience for years to come,” said Kevin Miller, President and CEO of Addition Financial.
To bring these visions to life, Addition Financial teamed up with Seminole State College’s Interior Design program, hiring paid interns to collaborate with each individual teacher while gaining hands-on, real world experience.
Classroom reveals took place from July 25 through 28, where teachers had the opportunity to see their brand new classrooms come to life.
