Advancial Welcomes New Assistant Vice President of Lending

DALLAS (January 24, 2011) — Advancial Federal Credit Union brings aboard new Assistant Vice President of Lending, John Kurtz.  Kurtz will assist with the growth of Advancial’s Lending department and brings a wealth of credit union experience to the department.

“John has evaluated our current structure and has already presented some great ideas on how to grow the department,” said Andy Tomalin, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Advancial.  “His forward-thinking approach fits with our company culture and we’re excited to have him as a part of our team.”

As Department Head of Lending, Kurtz has analyzed the current lending strategy to improve on volume and made sure efficient processes are in place for superior service delivered to Advancial’s stakeholders. Kurtz also will manage the quality of the lending products delivered and the procedures in place for auditing loan files.

Kurtz has a strong background of more than 25 years in the credit union industry. Kurtz’s term at Texans began in branch operations and ended in the position of Vice President of Retail Lending Sales. In his position as VP of Retail Lending Sales, he managed all direct and indirect retail channels into Texans. Most recently, Kurtz worked as a League Representative and Consultant for Texas Credit Union League. Kurtz holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University.
