BROWNSTOWN, MI (June 8, 2017) — Advantage One Credit Unionis excited to announce the addition of a new checking account to their product mix. The Heroes Account is a special account package for active and retired military personnel, firefighters and police officers. This account benefits those who have dedicated their services and lives to taking care of their country and local communities.
By presenting their qualifying ID, new and current members are able to sign up for the Heroes Account and have immediate access to benefits such as: free standard checks, money orders and cashier’s checks, interest rate discounts on loans, free credit score monitoring service, complimentary Notary service, no minimum balance requirements, no monthly maintenance fees, unlimited check writing and membership into Benefits Plus®, which provides travel, dining and shopping discounts, identity theft protection, insurance discounts and much more. A launch party was held at all three Advantage One locations on May 26th. Along with the unveiling of the new account and celebrating Memorial Day, Advantage One helped raise over $600 for Victory Gym – a local non-profit organization dedicated to treating veterans with PTSD through physical activity, peer support and connection. Victory Gym does not charge veterans for use of their facilities and operates through the dues of non-military members and public donations, so they were very appreciative of Advantage One’s efforts!
