AEA Federal Credit Union staff donates to Humane Society of Yuma

AEA Federal Credit Union recently presented a check for $2,935 to Humane Society of Yuma. Donated funds were raised through the Employee Jean’s Giver Program during second quarter, 2021.

AEA employees participate in the Jeans Giver Program all year long and donate either $5 or $10 from their paychecks to wear jeans. Each quarter, the funds raised are given to a charity selected by employees. Since its start in 2016, the AEA Employee Jeans Giver Program has raised over $59,000 for local non-profits.

“Animals are deserving of so much because they give unconditionally. The Humane Society of Yuma’s mission to reduce the number of homeless pets speaks to my own love of animals and it means so much to me that the AEA team selected them for this donation,” said Athena Godwin, AEA Senior Vice President of Retail and Humane Society of Yuma Board Member.

Since 1963, the Humane Society of Yuma has been devoted to the rescue, care, placement, and population control of Yuma's orphaned and homeless pets with animal welfare as the sole priority. Their mission is "To reduce the number of homeless pets through adoption, rescue, and spay and neuter programs." For more information on the Humane Society of Yuma, visit www.hsoyuma.com.
