AFFCU names Senior Vice President & CFO

SAN ANTONIO, TX (February 8, 2024) — Air Force Federal Credit Union (AFFCU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ricardo “Ric” Ledezma as its Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Ledezma joined AFFCU as CFO in September of 2022, later taking on the leadership and strategic direction of the Credit Solutions, Risk Management, and Information Technology functions of the credit union.

“Ric’s leadership during this time of transformation has been invaluable,” said Ryan Ross, CEO. “He served an instrumental role in developing the growth strategy for the credit union and played an integral part in securing our upcoming, state-of-the-art headquarters.”

Ledezma brings many years of experience in the Credit Union industry to his current role, having served in areas as varied as lending, compliance, and accounting. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from Texas A&M International University, a Master of Business Administration from the UTSA Carlos Alvarez College of Business, and certification in Systems Dynamics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He also dedicates his time to volunteer efforts at organizations such as serving on the CFPB’s Credit Union Advisory Council and Boerne Independent School District.

“I am honored to step into this expanded leadership role at AFFCU,” said Ledezma. “It has been a rewarding experience to work with a brilliant team and affect real positive growth and change. I look forward to building on our successes in the coming years.”

AFFCU continues to add to its leadership roster soon after announcing a new, state-of-the-art Corporate Headquarters and upcoming name change as part of its overall expansion efforts.
