ST. PAUL, MN (April 18, 2014) -- Affinity Plus announced at its Annual Meeting of Membership that the three open seats for the board of directors have been filled and each candidate will serve a new three-year term. Below are the candidate profiles and positions:
Gary Denault, Director
Gary Denault is an incumbent board member and served on the board in several positions since 1970. Denault worked for the State of Minnesota for 20 years as a professional, supervisor, and manager. His last 19 years of employment were as the Executive Director of Middle Management Association, a union representing supervisors who work in state government. Denault has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree from Indiana University. Denault retired from Middle Management Association approximately five years ago and currently resides in St. Paul, Minn.
Connie Roehrich, Director
Connie Roehrich joined the Affinity Plus Board of Directors in 2008 and most recently served as board chair. Roehrich worked for the MN Department of Corrections for more than 30 years, and served as a warden at three different correctional facilities over the past 20 years. Roehrich has been a member of numerous criminal justice organizations and is currently working closely with the correctional professionals in Uruguay, South America through her involvement with MN Partners of the Americas. Roehrich has a bachelor’s degree in social work from Bemidji State University in social work and a master’s degree in sociology from Mankato State University.
William Tschida, Director
William Tschida has served on the board since 2002 in several positions including secretary, vice chair, and board chair. Tschida is retired from the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system where he served as the vice chancellor for human resources and senior administrator for personnel management and policy leadership. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in business administration from St. Cloud State University. Tschida has been involved in a variety of volunteer activities and served on many committees and boards, including Cathedral High School, and Catholic Charities of St. Cloud. He resides in Roseville, Minn.

Affinity Plus’ Board of Directors consists of nine members who are volunteers elected directly by the membership of the credit union. The 2014 board includes: Karen Snorek, chair; Lori Berreman, vice chair; Stephen Geyen, CFA, secretary; Ron Rollins, treasurer; Gary Denault, director; Karen Foreman, director; David Johnson, director; Connie Roehrich, director; William Tschida, director. The board helps ensure Affinity Plus remains strong in its mission to put people first, before making a profit.
Each year in September, Affinity Plus begins accepting applications for open seats on the board of directors. Positions on the board are for three-year terms beginning in March of the following year. Election results are announced at Affinity Plus' Annual Meeting of Membership in March.
