Affinity Plus expands service in Brainerd Lakes area with new Baxter branch
ST PAUL, MN (May 17, 2016) — On Monday, Affinity Plus opened its highly anticipated new branch location in Baxter. The credit union has been serving the community since 1971, when the first branch was located in a small office at the State Hospital. The current branch serving the community on West Washington Street will remain open.
“We have progressed immensely in our ability to serve members since the credit union first became a part of this community,” said Wendy Peterson, director of branch services. “The opening of our new Baxter branch expands our ability to serve the Lake Area community, and we know the new branch will have a positive impact on how we will serve new and existing members.”
Featuring a two lane drive-thru, 24 hour drive-up ATM, and more space and offices, the new branch facility allows access to more services, an improved member experience, and more privacy. The new branch also provides the Baxter community with increased employment opportunities.

The Affinity Plus branch in Baxter and its employees will celebrate the grand opening of their new facility the week of May 31. Festivities include a ribbon cutting and luncheon with the chamber of commerce on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. and treats throughout the week for members.
