ST. PAUL, MN (June 5, 2025) |
Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union (Affinity Plus) and City & County Employees Federal Credit Union (CCEFCU) of Albert Lea, Minn. have announced a merger, following a majority vote from CCEFCU members and approval from the CCEFCU Board of Directors and National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
The memberships of the two credit unions will officially be brought together on October 1. CCEFCU members will gain access to an expanded range of financial products and services, including mortgages, new lending and savings options, credit cards and access to an investment center, expanded fraud protection and Affinity Plus’s top-rated mobile app and online banking platform.
As part of the merger, Affinity Plus will add 1,700 new members to its growing network. The credit union is committed to retaining all five current CCEFCU employees while continuing to engage with the Albert Lea community. In addition to updating the existing Albert Lea branch, Affinity Plus will pursue a new branch location to open in 2026. The merger brings 34 additional branches across the state and a network of over 60,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide to CCEFCU members.
“We’re honored to welcome the members and employees of the City & County Employees Federal Credit Union of Albert Lea to Affinity Plus’s growing statewide network,” said Dave Larson, President and CEO of Affinity Plus. “This merger not only expands our reach but deepens our commitment to delivering the personal, member-focused service that sets us apart. We’re excited about the Albert Lea community and look forward to building strong relationships by supporting local efforts, contributing to growth and being there for our members every step of the way.”
